QuantiForce Brass LIVE (integrated clamps)

  1. Put the sensor onto the leadpipe

    Place one clamp on the leadpipe, the other on the mouthpiece.

  2. Fasten the rear clamp

    Check that the sensor is perpendicular to the leadpipe.

  3. Pull out the mouthpiece just slightly

  4. Fasten the front clamp

  5. Check that the mouthpiece can move slightly

  6. Set the force display to zero (↓0)

  7. Test the force display by pressing against the mouthpiece

    Check that the display returns to near zero after releasing the force.

QuantiForce Brass LIVE (mouthpiece clamp)

  1. Attach the mouthpiece clamp to the sensor

    Screw the mouthpiece clamp completely into the force plate of the sensor, but don’t tighten it.

  2. Put the sensor onto the leadpipe and insert the mouthpiece

    The sensor is still loose at this time.

  3. Find optimal sensor position

    Position the sensor so that the clamp on the backside of the sensor is on a straight part of the leadpipe to ensure a correct 90° mounting angle. Refer to the green zones in the example drawings.

  4. Tighten both clamps

    Turn each clamp’s handle clockwise until it is tight.

  5. Check that the sensor is perpendicular

    Check that the sensor is perpendicular to the pipe. If not, repeat the previous the previous two steps.

  6. Slightly pull out the mouthpiece

    Turn the mouthpiece clamp counter-clockwise until you feel the mouthpiece is loosened from the leadpipe just slightly.

QuantiForce Brass LIVE (mouthpiece adapter)

  1. Fit the mouthpiece adapter

  2. Screw the mouthpiece into the sensor

  3. Put the mouthpiece into the leadpipe

  4. Fix the sensor on the leadpipe

    Fasten the clamp at the backside of the sensor.

  5. Turn adapter to slightly pull out the mouthpiece

    Turn counterclockwise until you feel the mouthpiece is loosened.

  6. Tap ↓0 button in the app to calibrate.

    Hold the trumpet in horizontal position without touching the mouthpiece, then tap the ↓0 button. The force display is set to zero.
